Each time I sit down to write this newsletter, the same thoughts run through my head. They go something like this: What if my family reads this and something I say upsets them? (Hi, Mom!) If I leave something out, does that make me a liar? (My worst nightmare is a James Frey-esque scandal—he’s the guy who was called out by Oprah for making up parts of his memoir, A Million Little Pieces.) What if something I write annoys someone, somewhere? Which would be worse – having a ton of people read this, or having no one read it?
I’ve got a confession to make. I’ve been wussyfooting around claiming my role as an expert in mind-body matters. Yes, despite my 15 years of practice, intensive trainings, published articles and book, and appearance on the Today Show, I’ve been secretly believing I really didn’t know what the heck I was talking about.
I give thanks everyday for the simple, timeless practices that have been passed down from person to person for thousands of years that have found their way to me. Devoting at least a little time to them most days always helps me find my way through confusion and angst.
Can I get an amen?
By taking time to get quiet and listen to myself, I give myself the opportunity to really hear what’s going on with me, the tools to sit with whatever’s going on instead of stuffing it down, and a path to a new normal.
The new normal I’m creating includes leading retreats, teaching online classes, and giving workshops to frazzled women everywhere who are craving five minutes’ peace. The photo above is from a workshop I led last week in Minneapolis – you can see by their body language and the looks on their faces that the things we did together changed the way they thought about themselves and what is possible for them. I’m so excited to tell you more about it all in the coming weeks!
What does this have to do with you?
You are reading this newsletter because you some part of you knows that making mind-body practice a part of your life is key to being happy, healthy, and sane. But are you doing it? Or are you talking yourself out of it each time it occurs to you to stop and breathe?
Are you screaming at the kids and not connecting with your husband? Are you agonizing over decisions and beating yourself up for not taking better care of yourself? Are you wondering what it’s going to take to get out of your own way and do the things you were put on this earth to do?
If you’re nodding your head, it’s time for a new normal. One where you give yourself the mental space you need each day to decompress, hear your intuition, make decisions, replenish your energy, and bring your best self to your every endeavor.
14 Days to Your New Normal: 2 Weeks of Daily Coaching Calls is my brand new coaching program that will make a regular mind-body practice a reality for you. We’ll talk on the phone for 10 minutes a day for 14 days in a row, and you’ll commit to spending another 5 minutes a day doing the practice we discuss. Together, we’ll create the space in your home, life, and mind for a life-changing practice to take root.
The great news is that this program only costs $99. This program will never be this affordable again!
The kicker is: There are only 8 spots available. In two weeks, 8 people will be breathing more deeply, trusting themselves more, and experiencing a lot less drama in their lives. Will you be one of them?
A quick time frame, a super affordable price—this is the opportunity your inner happy person has been hoping for.
